The Role

We're seeking an experienced Digital Innovation Director to lead our technology team as we scale up our operations and expand our reach across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our company and contribute to a mission that's making a real difference in the fight against climate change.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need a strong track record in software engineering, with expertise in multiple programming languages and frameworks. You should have experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and be proficient in integrating third-party APIs and websockets. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the hiring, onboarding, and management of a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment focused on innovation, excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap, outlining key initiatives, milestones, and deliverables to support the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and priorities, and translate them into actionable development plans.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure that technology initiatives are aligned with user needs, preferences, and expectations, and that we're delivering tangible benefits and value to our end users.
