About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at The Advocate Group. As a Category Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the success of the food category by developing strategies that enhance sales, market share, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Performance Enhancement: Build strong relationships with key customers to drive category growth and improve category performance.
  • Market Insights and Analysis: Use consumer insights and market trends to influence range plans, pricing, and promotional strategies during category reviews.
  • Category Strategy Development: Provide detailed analysis on category performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and marketing, to align category plans and overall brand growth.
  • Optimisation and Execution: Work closely with the internal team to optimise in-store execution, including shelf space, planograms, and product placement.
About You
  • Experience and Skills: Experience in category management or insights within an FMCG company or leading agency, with strong ability to use market data and consumer insights to drive category decisions and growth.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven skills in translating data into actionable strategies that boost sales and market share.
  • Ambition and Drive: Ambition to grow in a full Category Manager role within a dynamic FMCG company.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve category goals.
