Clinical Haematology Specialist

Cpl UK Healthcare (formally RIG Locums) is seeking a Clinical Haematology specialist to join their team in Plymouth for a 12-month permanent role.
This post holder will provide registrar-equivalent cover in Clinical Haematology across the ward, day unit, and outpatient setting.
Main Duties:- Ward work, including ward rounds, managing a team of junior doctors, direct admission of patients, referral to other departments, organisation of TTAs, and discharge summaries.
- Day unit work, including assessment of chemotherapy patients, management of chronic transfusion patients, assisting nursing staff, and assessment of acutely unwell haematology patients.
- Procedure lists, including Bone Marrow Biopsies and Intrathecal Chemotherapy administration.
- Outpatient clinic work, covering the full range of haematology sub-specialties.
- Working on call as part of the 'first on call' haematology middle-grade tier.

- At least 24 months' experience in internal medicine or an ACCS programme.
- Experience of working in Haematology registrar level, including safe prescription of chemotherapy.
- Competence in procedures such as bone marrow biopsy and intrathecal chemotherapy.
- CPD training provided, including BLS.
- Excellent referral schemes.
