About the Job

At Capgemini Engineering, we are seeking a skilled System Safety Engineer to support our Defence and Nuclear projects. As a key member of our team, you will work on high-integrity software and systems for various domains, including Nuclear, Defence, Aerospace, and Rail.

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Safety Engineering Professional with a strong background in system and software safety standards, such as BS EN 61508, RTCA-DO-178 A/B/C, BS EN 26262, Def Stan 00-55, Def Stan 00-66, and BS EN 50128. Your expertise should include hazard identification and analysis techniques, such as Functional Failure Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and SIL determination.

Responsibilities

- Review and produce documentation demonstrating compliance to safety standards.
- Conduct safety reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety-critical systems meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

- Engineering degree and relevant experience in safety engineering.
- SC Cleared or eligible for DV clearance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
