About the Job

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to join our team in Defence and Nuclear. As a System Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of complex systems and software in the Defence and Nuclear sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety strategies and plans for Defence and Nuclear projects
  • Conduct safety risk assessments and identify potential hazards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety requirements are met
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation and reports
  • Provide safety training and awareness to project teams
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in a relevant field (e.g. safety engineering, systems engineering)
  • Proven experience in safety engineering, particularly in Defence and Nuclear sectors
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations (e.g. BS EN 61508, RTCA-DO-178 A/B/C)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
