As a key member of the Great Bear team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the site Health and Safety culture, training MHE staff to use the Fleet Management System, and supporting site inductions and risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the site Health and Safety culture and ensure that all MHE staff are trained to use the Fleet Management System.
- Support site inductions and risk assessments to ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and the risks associated with MHE operations.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all MHE operators are competent and up-to-date with the latest safety procedures.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure that all training is completed and recorded in line with company policy.
- Assist in the creation of Safe Systems of Work and suitable and sufficient risk assessments for MHE activities.
- Review the GAP analysis of safety audits with site management to ensure that all areas are completed.
- Liaise with operational management to ensure that all site training requirements are covered across all shifts.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns in order to cover for training.
- Should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems.
