Legal Counsel for Commercial and Regulatory Affairs

About the RoleWe're seeking a qualified in-house lawyer to support our Data Privacy team, with a focus on commercial and regulatory matters. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with external counsel on transaction execution and liaise with internal stakeholders across various functions.
- Support the preparation of internal papers summarising proposed transactions, highlighting key risks and requirements for review and approval by the board.
- Collaborate with colleagues from across the business to achieve commercial deal objectives, with a focus on data protection and compliance.
- Lead legal due diligence and disclosure workstreams, and assist in the evaluation of findings and associated reporting matters.
- Support work required to satisfy conditions precedent to closing of transactions, including regulatory change in control and anti-trust conditions.
- Assist in managing and refining the Legal & Compliance function's post-deal integration efforts.
We're seeking a qualified lawyer with experience in-house or at a law firm, with a degree-level qualification in law or a related field. You'll have a strong understanding of data protection laws, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation and international legislation. Prior experience with the OneTrust data privacy tool is a plus.
