Job Title: Commercial Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Legal Counsel to join our team at Interpublic Group. As a key member of our business affairs team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our global communications programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and supervise talent/influencer, production, technology, and other supplier agreements.
  • Work on new business opportunities, reviewing confidentiality agreements and proposed contract terms.
  • Raise, advise, and seek compliance with internal and external legal and regulatory requirements, such as ABC, data privacy, and IPG SP&P.
  • Assist agency colleagues with issue management and client/vendor communications in the business affairs and legal space.
  • Help analyze agency creative ideas to ensure compliance with legal requirements and provide solution-led guidance on their subsequent delivery.
  • Counsel agency management and support them in the formulation, preparation, and implementation of improved business affairs and risk-management processes in agencies.
  • Train on legal and business affairs issues.
  • Collaborate intra-IPG and introduce and support agency staff when working with other IPG support services, such as Finance, Risk, Insurance, Treasury, and Travel.
  • Assist on data protection, litigation, property, and other general legal matters as they arise.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in the marketing, advertising, and/or media sectors on issues such as marketing communications, talent/influencer engagement, digital/social media, content production, event staging, or digital products and services is preferred.
  • Fluency in one or more European languages in addition to English would be advantageous.
