Regulatory Affairs Specialist - Assistant General Counsel

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our Legal Department as an Assistant General Counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regulatory advice and support to our business teams, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

About the Role:

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Providing regulatory advice and guidance to our business teams on matters related to credit rating agencies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Collaborating with the Compliance Department on discrete and ongoing matters before regulators, including examinations, submissions, and special projects.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and advising internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements and implications.
  • Conducting research on credit rating agency regulation across multiple jurisdictions and advising on best practices.
  • Preparing registration documents and responding to regulatory requests on behalf of the company.

Requirements:

  • Qualified and admitted to the roll of solicitors or authorized to practice as a barrister in England or Wales.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in regulatory affairs or a related field.
  • Strong background in regulatory affairs, with experience in highly regulated environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documents.
  • Strong research, analysis, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
