About the Opportunity:

ABehaviour Mentor is needed in a school in Waltham Forest to provide one-to-one support to a learner who requires additional help with managing their behaviour. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, especially those with challenging behaviour, or be a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a school setting.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about working with young people, has excellent communication skills, and is able to build strong relationships with learners, teachers, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Working closely with the learner to identify and address the underlying causes of their challenging behaviour
  2. Developing and implementing behaviour management plans that are tailored to the learner's needs
  3. Providing ongoing support and guidance to the learner to help them develop strategies for managing their behaviour

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children and young people, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with learners and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of behaviour management theories and strategies

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary range of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
