About This Opportunity

Nurse Seekers is seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to join their client's specialist eye surgery team in Glasgow as a theatre nurse.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a state-of-the-art theatre environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care in the theatre setting.
  • Assisting in surgical procedures while maintaining a safe, sterile environment.
  • Preparing and managing surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Monitoring patients throughout their procedures.
  • Collaborating effectively with the surgical team for efficient patient care.
  • Following strict infection prevention and control protocols.
  • Accurately documenting patient information while maintaining confidentiality.

Your Requirements

We're looking for professionals with:

  • Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner or in a similar role (preferred).
  • Experience in ophthalmology (a strong advantage).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care principles.
  • Proven ability to analyse situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Expertise in maintaining a sterile environment and infection prevention practices.
  • Basic Life Support certification (essential).
