About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Development Manager to join our team at Abbatt Property Recruitment. As a key member of our property management company, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our residential estates.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a 7 million service charge budget, with training provided
  • Oversee the development of a 387-unit estate, ensuring effective service levels and maintaining a high standard of presentation and maintenance
  • Build and maintain relationships with residents, clients, and developers, ensuring all aspects of the development are fully presentable and serviced
  • Identify and deliver ongoing training needs to support the team, utilizing internal and external methods and support
  • Monitor and manage performance, setting guidelines and managing holiday/sickness absences
  • Effective cost control and review of expenditure and accounts, including assisting with setting service charges and presenting financial summary reports
  • Hold proactive customer/contractor and client meetings, ensuring issues are promptly administered and dealt with within agreed timeframes
  • Investigate and respond to complaints, collaborating with the Regional Manager as needed
  • Undertake required risk assessments, health and safety checks, and routine testing requirements
  • Support the monitoring and supervision of contractors, carrying out works on and around the development
Requirements
  • Previous people management experience (2+ years)
  • Driver's license
  • Budget and service charge accounting experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Level 2 or ATPI qualification (desirable but not essential)
