Maternity Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Maternity Support Worker to join our team at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Maternity Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal periods.
Key Responsibilities- Assist midwives and other healthcare professionals in providing care to women and their babies
- Support women with their physical and emotional needs during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal periods
- Conduct routine checks and assessments on women and their babies
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and guidance to women and their families
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care
- GCSE level A-C in English and Maths or equivalent
- NVQ/Diploma Level 3 or equivalent higher apprenticeship in healthcare
- Evidence of successful completion of Care Certificate or willingness to work towards
- Evidence of successful completion of SWFT or external Maternity Support Worker Programme or willingness to work towards
- Experience of working in an acute hospital setting
- Experience of providing high-quality care
- Maternity care experience in a hospital/birth centre
