Sja's West seeks an experienced Community Development Specialist to join our team in supporting volunteer activities and delivering focused growth projects for our District First Aid Network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, business management, or volunteer management, with experience in organizing and facilitating workshops and community sessions.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as generous pension, hybrid and flexible working, 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) - increasing to 38 days over 5 years, options to buy and sell holiday, free first aid/mental health first aider courses, Blue Light and NHS online shopping discounts, cycle to work scheme, life assurance, flu jab, eye care, mental health and wellbeing tools, and volunteering days.

The role involves working closely with volunteer leaders across the District, operationalizing priorities in the District Plan, which includes objectives to develop a compelling community education programme, reach young people locally, draw supporters and donors, and ensure St John has impact in the communities that need it most through outreach programmes.
