We are seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Specialist to join our busy property team as a Claims Advisor. The successful candidate will have previous claims experience, ideally from Commercial, but will consider personal lines claims experience.
Key Responsibilities- Dealing with enquiries from clients, colleagues, and insurers, and responding within one business day
- Ensuring even distribution of calls, post, and web enquiries amongst the team on a daily basis
- Accurately documenting all instructions/conversations with clients on manual and IT-based systems
- Negotiating with insurers to provide the best solution for clients, given legal and regulatory requirements
- Navigating and maintaining manual and IT systems for processing and administrative purposes relating to claims
- Reporting all suspicious claims to the Operations Manager
- Previous claims experience, ideally from Commercial
- Experience across a wide spectrum of insurance products, including home, motor, travel, and commercial lines
- Ability to identify circumstances and guide clients through the claims process
- Resilience to challenge insurers' views on policy cover
- High levels of customer service and ability to maintain and exceed these standards
