We are seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Handler to join our team at Aspire Jobs. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for providing an in-house insurance claims service to clients throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and resolve insurance claims in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicate with clients, colleagues, and insurers to ensure claims are processed correctly
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurers and other third parties to secure the best outcome for clients
- Negotiate with insurers to provide the best solution for clients, given legal and regulatory requirements
- Accurately document all instructions and conversations with clients on manual and IT-based systems
- Maintain filing systems and ensure that processing is up-to-date at all times
- Work closely with the claims team to ensure fluid workflows and processes are followed
Requirements:
- Previous claims experience, ideally from commercial or personal lines
- Experience across a wide spectrum of insurance products and claims associated with them
- Ability to identify and guide clients through the claims process
- Resilience to challenge insurer views on policy cover if necessary
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain high levels of customer service
