Main Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver specialist occupational therapy services to children and young people with disabilities, complex health needs, or chronic illnesses.
  2. Work closely with multi-agency teams, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and educators, to provide professional advice on disability equipment, adaptations, and manual handling.
  3. Develop and implement training programs for carers and families to enhance their understanding of the child's condition and promote independence.
  4. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the delivery of services.
Requirements:
  1. A degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field and a valid HCPC registration.
  2. At least 2 years of experience as a Children's Occupational Therapist in a community setting.
  3. Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance and a valid car driver's license.
  4. A strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
Salary and Benefits:
