To execute the day-to-day tactical delivery of the James Hutton Group's portfolio of events, including corporate events, internal events, and strategic events for profile-raising, fundraising, and public engagement.
Main Duties of Postholder- Manage and coordinate event equipment, including storage, maintenance, and upkeep of inventory.
- Set up and dismantle equipment required for each event.
- Assist with reception desks and ad-hoc duties during events.
- Support the events team with logistical and administrative tasks.
- Liaise with and coordinate service providers.
- Attend meetings, take notes, and act as a second point of contact.
- Perform ad-hoc duties at events, including managing attendee lists and showing exhibitors to sites.
Essential Qualifications:
- A related degree or experience in event management.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to work manually and lead on manual tasks.
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills, prioritizing competing workloads and working to tight timescales.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Creative, proactive, flexible, and able to work to agreed deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Personable and able to speak comfortably to a wide range of people.
- Understanding of timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, and health & safety.
- Full, clean, UK Driver's license.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working on events of varying sizes and delivery styles.
- Experience with agricultural-style events.
