About the Role:

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning menus and preparing food.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and maintain a smooth operation during service.
  • Evaluate food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Implement health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage inventory and supplies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh ingredients.
  • Able to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
