About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Hastings, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.
  • Supervise the kitchen team, ensuring smooth operation during service and maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
  • Develop and implement creative menu ideas, utilizing fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment, promoting a positive and creative work culture.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies as needed, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless operation and maintaining high standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen hygiene, and health and safety protocols.
  • Creativity, passion for cooking, and a commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, leading and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
