Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Hastings Court. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food services to our residents. Key Responsibilities

  • Food Service Delivery
    • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and palatability.
    • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
    • Prepare and serve nutritional snacks and meals as required.
  • Stock Management
    • Manage stock levels and replenish as necessary to ensure that all ingredients are available for meal preparation.
    • Order supplies and ingredients in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure that all food services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure that all food handling and preparation practices comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate records of food preparation, storage, and disposal.

Requirements

  • Culinary Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or hospitality setting.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Knowledge of therapeutic and textured diets is an advantage.
