Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Hastings Court. Key Responsibilities
- Food Service Delivery
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and palatability.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
- Prepare and serve nutritional snacks and meals as required.
- Stock Management
- Manage stock levels and replenish as necessary to ensure that all ingredients are available for meal preparation.
- Order supplies and ingredients in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure that all food services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure that all food handling and preparation practices comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation, storage, and disposal.
Requirements
- Culinary Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or hospitality setting.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of therapeutic and textured diets is an advantage.
