We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Finance to lead our finance department at a prestigious Cambridge college. As a key member of the senior management team, you will play a vital role in driving financial decision-making and delivering high-quality financial information.

About the Role

This is a permanent appointment with a competitive salary range of £70,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, management information, and statutory reporting. You will also oversee banking and insurance arrangements and manage financial systems and controls.

Skill Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders across the college.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills to manage diverse priorities and deadlines.
  • A deep understanding of accounting software, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and modelling to drive efficiency improvements.
  • The ability to use initiative and creative problem-solving to drive results.
  • A flexible and collaborative approach to tasks and a willingness to adapt to change.
