Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field to ensure all surgical procedures are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures across specialities to deliver high-quality perioperative care and support positive patient outcomes.
  • Provide skilled assistance as a Surgical First Assistant (SFA) during procedures, ensuring the surgeon has the support needed to perform efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with valid registration.
  • Surgical First Assistant (SFA) qualification and experience assisting surgeons during complex procedures.
  • Extensive experience as a Scrub Practitioner in a range of surgical specialities.
