About the Role

Are you a highly skilled and experienced surgical care practitioner looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for robotic surgery and a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment?

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Senior Surgical Care Practitioner. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons during robotic procedures, providing expert care to patients, and contributing to the smooth running of our theatre list.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons during robotic procedures, including positioning patients, preparing equipment, and handling complex surgical instruments
  • Provide expert care to patients, including pre-operative assessment, peri-operative care, and post-operative follow-up
  • Contribute to the smooth running of our theatre list, including coordinating with other team members, managing resources, and ensuring patient safety
  • Develop and maintain expertise in robotic surgery, including staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Surgical Care Practitioner Course or equivalent
  • Registered Nurse
  • Mentorship Course
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Extensive experience with surgical specialties
  • Experience as a surgical first assistant in Robotic Surgery
  • Ability to clinically lead and manage staff

Salary and Benefits

£65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
