Surgical Services Director Role Overview
London Bridge Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Services Director to lead our team. As a Surgical Services Director, you will be responsible for the operational, strategic, and clinical leadership of the inpatient interventional procedure rooms within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational, strategic, and clinical leadership to the Surgical Services team.
- Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the Surgical Services team to ensure smooth operations and efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
Requirements:
- NMC or HCPC registered Practitioner.
- In possession of a first level degree/equivalent experience.
- Significant postgraduate experience working in an Interventional Surgical Perioperative or Cardiac field.
- In possession of relevant formal perioperative or cardiology qualification.
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years experience of working in a managerial role with a track record of successfully leading teams.
- Management qualification at diploma level or equivalent experience.
- Excellent IT skills, desirable but not essential to include: Excel, Meditech and Manpower software.
