Vascular Surgery Medical Secretary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Secretary to join our Vascular Surgery Department as a full-time Medical Secretary. This is an exciting opportunity to further your career as a healthcare administrator, working within a thriving surgical service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Consultants and clinical teams within the department.
- Ensure the safe and efficient communication between Consultants and scheduling for weekly meetings.
- Support the Speciality Manager with RTT validation, booking/cancelling appointments, and liaising with clinicians and other staff.
- Be an active and supportive member of the wider team within the department.
- Significant and current secretarial/administration experience as a Medical Secretary.
- Experience of working within a hospital.
- Experience in establishing/maintaining robust office systems.
- Audio typing.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to generate own routine correspondence.
- Willingness and ability to learn new IT skills and technology.

Person Specification- Good general education including GCSE in Maths or English (or equivalent).
- Typing 60 WPM minimum.
- RSA III or equivalent experience.
- AMSPAR Diploma.
- Dictate 3 or equivalent experience.
