About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Secretary to join our Vascular Surgery Department as a Senior Medical Secretary. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving surgical service and further your career as a healthcare administrator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Consultants and clinical teams within the department.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient communication between Consultants and scheduling for weekly meetings.
  • Support the Speciality Manager with RTT validation, booking/cancelling appointments, and liaising with clinicians and other staff.
  • Work closely with staff and other health professionals within the Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure a first-class service to patients.
Requirements
  • Significant and current secretarial/administration experience as a Medical Secretary.
  • Experience of working within a hospital and establishing/maintaining robust office systems.
  • Audio typing and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and generate own routine correspondence.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new IT skills and technology.
