Job Title: Specialist Nurse

Location: Western General Hospital

This role involves providing specialist clinical advice to the multidisciplinary team, utilizing advanced knowledge to inform decision-making and clinical judgment. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing expert advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, and clients on patient management, assessment, treatment, and review planning.
  2. Supporting the development of evidence-based standards, guidelines, and policies, and implementing them in practice.
  3. Collaborating with healthcare teams to improve practice and service delivery, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions.

NHS Scotland is implementing a reduced working week of 37 hours, with no reduction in pay. However, some services may require employees to work additional hours temporarily until roster adjustments are made.
