Patient Safety Assistant Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Quality Professional to join our team at the Naval Health Clinic New England in Newport, RI. As a Patient Safety Assistant Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting and advising the Government on the establishment and operation of the Navy Medicine Patient Safety Program (PSP) at the MTF level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Patient Safety Manager, Quality Manager (QM), and Risk Manager (RM).
- Coordinate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), Proactive Risk Assessments (PRAs), and other patient-safety initiatives.
- Review and monitor PSP policies/practices, including implementation of all applicable National Patient Safety Goals.
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or another healthcare-related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in risk management, patient safety, or quality improvement in a clinical setting.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, including previous public speaking/training facilitation.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience. Some travel is required.
