Patient Safety Assistant Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced clinical quality professional to fill the role of Patient Safety Assistant Coordinator at the Naval Health Clinic New England in Newport, RI.

This full-time position offers a salary range of $50,000-$100,000 and requires some travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Patient Safety Manager, Quality Manager (QM), and Risk Manager (RM) to ensure effective implementation of the Navy Medicine Patient Safety Program (PSP).
  • Coordinate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), Proactive Risk Assessments (PRAs), and other patient-safety initiatives to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Review and monitor the PSP policies/practices to ensure compliance with all applicable National Patient Safety Goals.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or another healthcare-related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in risk management, patient safety, or quality improvement in a clinical setting.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
