About the Role
The University of Edinburgh's Nuclear Physics Research Group is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our researchers and students by providing expert technical advice and assistance. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

**Job Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex technical problems
* Provide technical guidance and support to researchers and students
* Collaborate with other teams to deliver projects and meet the needs of the research group's activities
* Supervise junior technicians and engineers to ensure they receive the necessary training and support

**Requirements:**
* Master's degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering or science subject
* 7+ years' experience in a technical or engineering role, preferably in Higher Education
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical solutions
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
