Job Title: Senior Lifting Equipment Specialist

Location: Edinburgh & Scotland

A leading Professional Services organisation is seeking a highly experienced field-based Senior Lifting Equipment Specialist to join their team on a long-term contract basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspecting and testing Cranes and other Lifting Equipment to ensure compliance with LOLER/PUWER regulations, and will be comfortable working regionally and occasionally in other parts of Scotland.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect and test Cranes and other Lifting Equipment to ensure compliance with current statutory requirements under LOLER/PUWER.
  2. Conduct surveys across various industries, including Nuclear, Automotive, Mobile Plant, Manufacturing, Chemical manufacturing, Banking, Retail, Logistics, Emergency Services, Transport and Construction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ3 or HNC/HND qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Residing in Scotland, you should be happy to work both regionally and occasionally in other parts of Scotland.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience as a Senior Engineer Surveyor / Statutory Inspector in Lifting Equipment, including Cranes, MEWPS, FLTs etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of testing and inspecting equipment to LOLER / PUWER / H&S regulations.
  • UK driving License and use of own car.

Salary: £45 per hour + travel time, mileage, overnight accommodation and food allowance (as required)
