About the Role

National Grid is undergoing a transformation to create a cleaner, greener system. The Overhead Lines and Substation teams are building vital infrastructure to reach Net Zero. We need an Administrative Support Specialist to provide administrative, organisational and communication skills and implement and maintain comprehensive, effective administrative systems.

The successful candidate will manage the Programme Director's diary, organise team-wide events, arrange management and team meetings, and keep an up-to-date team action tracker. They will also provide admin support for hotel and travel bookings, protective personal equipment orders, meeting room bookings and invites, and mobile phone orders.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work to deadlines, and have experience of liaising with senior managers and stakeholders. They will also be comfortable working with numbers and costs, and have effective communication, organisation and document management skills.
