About Us

At Wave Photonics, we are pioneering a platform to accelerate the development, mass production, and adoption of integrated photonics technologies. Our innovative approach combines simulation, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques to overcome obstacles in this field.

Founded in 2021, we have secured backing from prominent investors in Silicon Valley, the UK, and the EU, and are leading/contributing to multiple projects funded by the UK's innovation agency, Innovate UK. We have also been successful in securing a prestigious European Innovation Council Accelerator project to develop solutions for frontier applications of integrated photonics.

Job Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a technical candidate to transition into a business-focused and customer-facing position. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in accelerating the growth and adoption of integrated photonics technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a keen interest in business development/sales, and knowledge of the semiconductor and/or photonics industry. Experience designing photonic integrated circuits is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with potential customers to utilize our components and other offerings
  • Represent Wave Photonics at events and conferences
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and partner organizations
  • Identify potential customers/partners and conduct research on organizations
  • Provide insights from customers to the technical team
  • Support users of Wave Photonics' platform and respond to enquiries
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and seek business opportunities
Requirements
  • Keen interest in business development/sales
  • Strong technical background with a desire to move into a commercial-focused role
  • Knowledge of semiconductor and photonics integrated circuit market
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A bias for action
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally for business events and meetings
