Job Description

Our client, Owen Daniels, is a leading manufacturer providing specialized solutions to various industries, including aerospace, power generation, rail, and oil and gas. They are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join their Operations Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support all and any Sales and Operations Planning (SIOP) requirements with the extended Senior Leadership Team to achieve key business sales targets while considering cumulative lead times and limitations.
  • Level Load the executable Sales plan within the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system with Customer Services.
  • Ensure all daily planning activities are executed within the service levels required by the business.
  • Develop and act as an MRP 'super user' for the planning department.
  • Run and develop reports to ensure MRP parameters are within policy.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach all members of the Planning Team.
  • Support all and any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects to drive business optimization.
Requirements:
  • High competency level in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a minimum).
  • Representing the section at internal meetings and presenting planning performance achievements.
  • Ability to lead projects and negotiate with cross-functional and cross-market teams.
  • Good business writing skills and ability to use networks to influence business activity and convince others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good relationship-building skills.
  • A proven team player with creative problem-solving skills.
