About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Midwife to lead our established Barkantine Team as Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and developing services that are personalized to the needs of pregnant women and their babies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership within the group practice model of care, working in partnership with community teams and all clinical areas.
  • Work collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary team members, contributing to the education and professional development of staff in the acute and primary care setting.
  • Be actively involved in providing clinical care and education to women and their families, and provide ongoing support to midwives and GPs caring for pregnant women.
  • Ensure there is ongoing auditing, monitoring, and evaluation of the service provided.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Registered Midwife qualification
  • Mentorship qualification or Practice Assessor training
  • BSc or working towards
  • At least 2 years post-registration experience with at least 1 year of recent intrapartum experience
  • Experience of Community Midwifery
