Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife to join our team as a Lead Midwife for Patient Experience. This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a significant impact on the quality of care provided to our patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing professional direction and leadership to all aspects of the women's experience across our maternity services
  • Ensuring optimum standards are maintained through quality improvement initiatives and safe care for women and their families
  • Supporting Matrons in leading and achieving a good working environment for women and families
  • Providing expertise, advice, education, and support to improve patient experience
  • Facilitating teaching at our sister sites within Barts Health
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a Midwife with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a practicing Band 6
  • Recent intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum experience
  • Professional knowledge acquired through Midwifery training to Degree Level or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Mentorship course or equivalent teaching experience
