Water Safety Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Water Safety Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all water systems within our Trust are safe, compliant with relevant legislation, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This includes conducting regular inspections, monitoring water quality, and implementing measures to prevent contamination and ensure effective treatment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water safety, experience in working with healthcare environments, and excellent communication skills. They will be able to work effectively with our Estates and Facilities teams to ensure that all aspects of water safety are addressed and that any issues are promptly identified and resolved.
Main Responsibilities
Act as Appointed Person for water, ensuring experience, skills, and training are up-to-date and in accordance with recommendations.
Chair Water Safety Group meetings, monitor action plans, and provide written and verbal updates for H&S Committees.
Provide support to the General Manager of Estates & Facilities in efforts to monitor, manage, and improve water safety.
Ensure compliance with current statutory requirements, codes of practice, and Trust policies and procedures related to water safety.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of benefits including employee assistance programme, discounted gym membership, onsite fitness classes, and car schemes.
