Environmental Health Lead

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Lead to join our Estates and Facilities team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. About the RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with Estates colleagues and client teams across the Trusts and its partner organisations contributing to the overall management of Water Safety projects, Policies/Procedures, and Water Safety improvement initiatives. The role will be responsible for ensuring staff, patients and visitors are able to deliver/receive the required level of care in a safe and appropriate Healthcare environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Act as Appointed Person for water, ensuring experience, skills and training are in date and in accordance with AEs recommendations.
- Develop and implement effective water safety strategies to ensure compliance with current statutory requirements, codes of practice and Trust policies and procedures.
- Provide support to the General Manager of Estates & Facilities in the efforts of Water Safety monitoring, management and improvements.
- Identify Trust status regarding compliance with current water legislation and guidance, escalate non-conformities, and put in place corrective actions and forecast resources required.
- An estimated salary range of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
