Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Commercial Team as a Business Development Specialist for the UK and Ireland region. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and new business acquisition within this territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and implement sales strategies that align with Lonza's strategic priorities, goals, and marketing opportunities.
  2. Proactively contact prospects and leads to generate pipeline growth.
  3. Work closely with multiple functions to identify targets for our services.
  4. Track KPIs to assess the effectiveness of sales initiatives and make data-driven adjustments.
  5. Negotiate and execute business agreements with legal and commercial guidance.
  6. Guide new customers through initial stages of program onboarding and handover.
  7. Identify opportunities to introduce new or existing customers to additional services.
  8. Attend and actively participate in tradeshows, roadshows, conferences, and summits.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Life Sciences or Engineering.
  2. Experience in CDMO Small Molecule drug substance and/or drug product sales.
  3. Proven track record for year-over-year growth while focusing on new account/new program acquisition.
  4. Clear concise communication and strong networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  5. Experience crafting tailored solutions that cater to customer needs.
  6. Proficiency in using Salesforce to track sales activities and customer interactions.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
