About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team in Swansea. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing full accounting support to our directors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working on SAGE Accounts to complete books to balance sheet
- Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger management
- Debtors and Creditors management
- Matching goods received notes with delivery notes
- Processing purchase invoices from suppliers
- Posting accounts transactions onto SAGE
- Updating computer purchase ledger and sales ledger balances
- Emailing customers their invoices and ledger statements
- Chasing debtors for any overdue balances
- Ensuring the supplier ledgers on SAGE reconcile to supplier statements
- Undertaking filing of purchase invoices and sales invoices in numerical order
- Communicating with suppliers and customers via email
- Completing monthly bank reconciliations on SAGE
- Processing BACS payments as instructed by directors
- Running and submitting a monthly VAT return on SAGE
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in handling the full accounting/bookkeeping function
- Sage 50 or experience on a similar accounting package, as well as general computer literacy
- A responsible person able to work with minimum supervision
- Team player with an inclusive work style
- Flexible and willing to assist the team wherever required
- Solid attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
This is a great opportunity to secure a responsible position in a growing organisation. As well as an excellent salary, there is an annual bonus payable on team performance. This is in addition to a 2-week annual shut down and all public holidays. Pension and free on-site parking are available. The early finish on a Friday is also an excellent benefit.
