Job Description

As a Team Leader within our Public and Green Space department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our grounds maintenance and street cleansing teams. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our city remains safe and visually appealing for residents and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of grounds maintenance and street cleansing staff
  • Implement and maintain safe systems of work to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Develop and implement effective service processes to improve efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with our communities and Councillors to provide a safe and clean environment
  • Manage and maintain a fleet of vehicles and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and requirements
Requirements:
  • Experience in grounds maintenance or street cleansing
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining safe systems of work
  • Full valid UK driver's license
  • At least 5 GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and requirements
  • Ability to work outside of normal hours when needed
