About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Medicines Management Specialist to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Clinical Medicine Management Service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Clinical Medicine Management Service and coordinate the operational work of technicians and pharmacists
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the clinical medicines management service
  • Provide education and training to student pharmacy technicians and foundation trainee pharmacists
  • Participate in medicines management schemes on wards and provide counseling to patients
  • Undertake dispensing of medicines and provide annual leave or sickness cover for team members

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BTEC/NVQ3 Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent qualification
  • Medicines Management qualification (to degree level or equivalent)
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy and multidisciplinary team working
  • Project/change management skills and knowledge of medicines management procedures
