About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Support Worker to join our team at Aurora Orchard Manor. As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care and support to our young adults, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Assist with daily routines, including washing, dressing, and getting ready for bed.
- Encourage healthy sleeping patterns and respond to any incidents that may occur during the night.
- Ensure medical needs are met at all times, working closely with our healthcare team.
- Participate in light housekeeping duties during quiet periods, such as loading the dishwasher and laundry.
- Assist with supporting our young adults to get up, washed, and dressed in the morning.
- Build trusting relationships and provide support to enable our young adults to become more autonomous.
Requirements:
- No experience necessary, as full training and support will be provided.
- Ability to work on a rota pattern, including every other weekend.
- Must be able to complete a 2-week full-time induction and 2-3 weeks of shadowing on day shifts before starting night shifts.
- Exceptional communication skills, patience, and a robust and positive nature.
- Ability to be creative in meeting the needs of our young adults.
