About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Support Worker to join our team at Aurora Orchard Manor. As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional care and support to our young adults, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist with daily routines, including washing, dressing, and getting ready for bed.
  • Encourage healthy sleeping patterns and respond to any incidents that may occur during the night.
  • Ensure medical needs are met at all times, working closely with our healthcare team.
  • Participate in light housekeeping duties during quiet periods, such as loading the dishwasher and laundry.
  • Assist with supporting our young adults to get up, washed, and dressed in the morning.
  • Build trusting relationships with our young adults, promoting their independence and autonomy.

Requirements

  • No experience is required, as we provide full training and support.
  • Ability to work on a rota pattern, including every other weekend.
  • Must be able to complete a 2-week full-time induction and 2-3 weeks of shadowing on day shifts before starting night shifts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, patience, and a robust and positive nature.
  • Ability to be creative in meeting the needs of our young adults.
