Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for supporting children with autism or other special educational needs in a creative and nurturing environment. You will work closely with our experienced team to develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to each child's unique needs.
Responsibilities- Support children with autism or other special educational needs in daily activities, including education and social development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, social workers, and therapy teams
- Lead play-based activities and develop social skills to build confidence in children
- Use your initiative to respond calmly in challenging situations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A passion for working with young people who require additional support
- Ideal experience (formal or informal) supporting children with autism or other special educational needs
- CACHE Level 3 desirable
- A proactive and positive individual who is always striving to meet children's learning needs
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Willingness to learn and partake in any additional training
- Strong behaviour management skills, ability to de-escalate situations and give strong direction
- A good sense of humour and an optimistic outlook
As an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant, you can expect:
