Support Worker

At Disability North, we are seeking a dedicated Support Worker/Enabler to join our team and support a young adult in accessing community activities and healthcare appointments.
Hours: 2 hours per week, negotiable at various times
Rate of Pay: £13.09 per hour
Area: Ashington, Northumberland
The successful candidate will provide support to access the community, become more active, and attend occasional healthcare appointments. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with community activities and outings
- Encouraging physical activity and engagement
- Supporting understanding of healthcare discussions and outcomes
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A basic understanding of how health can impact mental wellbeing
- An awareness of anxiety and its effects
- The ability to take small steps in developing relationships
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
