Job Title: Business Development Trainee

Location: Full-time office based

Hourly Rate: £13.15 per hour PAYE

Contract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 36 hours

Role Purpose:

As a Business Development Trainee, you will assist with managing client referrals to the service, including registering and managing personal information. You will support front-of-house duties, participate in business development events, and provide high-level customer service to clients and stakeholders. You will also support marketing campaigns and day-to-day administrative duties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Data input, data extraction, photocopying, scanning, filing, and typing duties as directed, assisting with the monitoring and ordering of stock supplies.
  • To deal with internal and external post and emails on a day-to-day basis.
  • To produce and update spreadsheets and templates to support administrative monitoring and quality processes.
  • To register clients interested in using the service and update their information on the internal CRM system.
  • To respond to queries, both face-to-face and online, take messages, and pass them on to the relevant member of staff in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • To contact clients by phone, email, or video conferencing in relation to appointments with colleagues.
  • To be the first point of contact and support the reception area at all times, meeting and greeting visitors while delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • To manage training and meeting room bookings, ensuring that all enquiries are accurately dealt with, refreshments are planned, and room setup is appropriately arranged.
  • To maintain filing systems in line with data protection, organizational policies, and procedures, always maintaining strict confidentiality.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience and knowledge of business development and marketing principles.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of GDPR/ Data Protection regulations.
  • Previous experience of administrative work and dealing with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Competent to process administrative tasks accurately following instructions.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
