We are seeking an experienced Residential Childcare Specialist to join our team at Nexgen Locum. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children and young people in a residential care setting, providing high-quality care and support that meets their unique needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in residential childcare, with excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be able to develop and implement individual care plans, foster positive relationships with residents, and provide guidance and training to team members.

**Estimated Salary:** £15.00-£17.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

**Working Hours:** 168 - 173 hours per month

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a primary point of contact for residents, fostering positive relationships and providing consistent support.
  • Develop, review, and monitor care plans, ensuring they align with residents' needs and goals.
  • Support team members with guidance and training, promoting best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate activities that promote personal development and independence.
  • Manage challenging situations calmly and effectively, maintaining a safe environment.
  • Liaise with families, external agencies, and professionals to ensure holistic care.

**Requirements:** Relevant experience in a residential care setting, NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, strong communication and leadership skills, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
